OPPO Reno 11 5G: Unboxing & Review

This is the oper Rena 11 5G and in this video we're going to talk about everything you should know before you buy this device or if you're considering any new device in the mid-range category at all Oppo started 2024 on a very interesting note with their release of the Rena 11 series the lineup has the upper Rena 11 Pro and the upper Rena 11 5G opo Cent us the BR new 11 5G because that's what we'll be launching in the Nigerian market everything you should know about it before you pick one up without further

Let's look at what comes in the Box you get this smaller box housing the rubber case the same ejector tool the safety guide the smartphone itself which we'll get to later after that we get this sizable 67 W charger and this very thick K I have to say that the design of this device really stood out to me at a time where many devices are now sticking to the more plain setups for their design Oppo really took this design personally I think it's cool to look at I mean just look at how it looks I think it looks good in every ankle that you tilt the phone to oppos says the back of this phone is nature inspired and it actually looks like ocean waves that you know just got stuck on the back of your phone there's also this touch of glitter that adds some flare to it whenever you look at it at certain angles and it kind of feels like you're holding a piece of nature in your hands well if you use the phone without a case anyway the back of smartphones is where companies display.

Their art or the mood for their new device you'll notice this in many many smartphones this one is no exception despite being made of plastic on the back though it still feels premium the frame is aluminium and I think the phone holds up pretty well in terms of build quality it's also worth mentioning that you're safe from fingerprint smudges with this design on the back at least still on the design another thing I love is how the cameras are set on the back it's not the kind of style that you would just see anywhere the camera bump is divided into two rings one containing the main camera sensor and the other one carrying two cameras what's more here is that when these Rings catch lights they have this sort of radial beam tone that makes it look very nice and like Classic this phone is measuring 7.

This slender profile is complemented by the light weight it's 182 G which gives you a very comfortable gripping it lets you enjoy long-term usage without the Bing of you know aching hands when you're using this phone it just disappears this slickness also plays a role in how the cover screen merges with the frame the aluminium frame and the back of the phone while most people don't seem to like covered screens there's a sense of finesse when it comes to using this particular one and there's a sense of style with what Oppo has done here it's just that styling I took a poll on Twitter earlier to ask which one do people prefer flat or curved screens and the results were very interesting but which one do you prefer though let me know in the comments are you team flat or Team cover screen despite being relatively lightweight especially compared to some other flagships that ople has released OPP still offers a pretty large display on the Rena 11 you're getting 6.

In on here whether you're playing games or you're reading articles you should have a good experience you know just viewing content on this device at least although a display this large also means that people with smaller hands may find it hard to reach you know different areas this phone might require like two hands to control I would also say that if you get this and if you feel like you're a careful person you might actually enjoy using this phone without a case but if you feel like you are the kind of person that might drop your phone they give you a case in the box so I would just say that you should wear it on your phone and just like use it with a case although it will hide that natural like Beauty at the back of the phone but I'm taking it off I'll be using it like this I know I said it before but I'll say it again I think the design is the strong suit of this device how the screen looks is also worth mentioning it's a OLED panel on here with good colors and the screen resolution is 1080p by 2412 is bright as well and it just it looks very good very standard apart from the fact that the screen is pretty big it does enough to make sure that you have like a very good Vie experience and something else that I would say complement this is the bezels it's a 93% screen to body ratio device thanks in part to that curved screen and both of the edges just they're just black and they kind of disappear when you're viewing content so if you're watching a movie if you're playing games this is like this is the phone I've been picking to play games and I've gotten some new mid-range phones I just picked this one to play games at random sometimes the Rena 11 also has a refresh rate of 120 HZ so there's that faster response and smoothness when you're navigating through apps however you might want to change your setting from 120 HZ to 60 HZ or the standard refresh rate if you want to conserve battery of course this means that the phone will not be as smooth as 120 HZ but even that is still decent even the 60 HZ is still okay but 120 HZ for the win I don't care.

About the battery life if you put everything we like about how it displays aside let's talk about how the phone actually sounds without headphones at least it's got a stereo audio and the sound that come out of this they come out from the bottom speaker and this sort of headphone Port here and the top so it's like a stereo sounding phone both here and here and it is actually stereo it's actually very good how are you doing it's mutual I I I just feel like I'm watching my TV now but because I'm I I watch you all the time actually oh wow personally I would rate this sound quality quite high and it's actually good enough that you would notice this sound separation ople also has something called Ultra volume where you can increase the volume you know like you normally would to 100% but when you keep pressing the to increase the volume it will go up to 300% and show you like a feedback that this is ultra volume it's slightly louder but I didn't notice this feeling boosted or something um it just seems like an extra bit of volume would you guys say you have a use case for something like this why would you want your phone to be very loud let me know I stated already the Renault 11 features three cameras on the back each one serves like their own special purpose starting with the main 50 megap camera the photos here are decent in well lead areas but you notice the difference in quality when you take photos in an area with poor lighting this phone performs relatively decent in contrast to other phones that forcefully light up your face or other similar parts of the photo which eventually lead to the image being Overexposed I also tried the ultra steady stabilization for video and while it works well it can only capture 1080p at 60 frames per second rather than 4K I imagine that future will probably make this phone cost a bit more however you can also achieve a high quality zoom and take clear pictures at up to five times Zoom the second camera is a 32 Apel portrait lens that handles the telephoto function this camera does well in taking those close-ups because it is a smaller.

Sensor size and length in contrast to the wide angle capability of the main 15 megap camera the second telephoto camera can achieve 2x optical zoom for portraits the last camera here is an 8 megap Ultra wide camera that will let you capture a large range without you requiring multiple steps to take you know to move back and fill it with angles you can capture a wide angle shot you've also got night mode dual video high resolution slow motion all the other extra features that you get on many modern camera smartphones now and you have them packed in here also speaking of the selfie camera it's a 32 map selfie camera these are the photos I took and in terms of video you can record 4K at up to 30 frames per second 30 FPS 4k on the front camera so this is how the front-facing cameras video quality looks on the Oppo Rena 11 5G and this is the stabilized version although it's in 1080P and this is how it looks when it's in 4k let me know what you guys think about this video quality as well as the sound quality in the comment section below the opo ren 11 will be shipping with Android 14 and color OS 14 as their proprietary software on top of Android there's this file dock you know like what most phones have now where you swipe from the right side and here when you swipe from the right side you can actually take a screenshot do a screen recording you can see other apps and you can even click on Rec files to see like your screenshots your pictures your recent screenshots of pictures I also like something that when you take a screenshot you can actually click.

Extract content and it will pick out a few things that you can save individually instead of you know taking a screenshot and then going back to the photo and then cropping it here you can just take a screenshot extract and it pick out with with AI just pick out a set number of elements in frame I think that's also I think that's also fine another thing I like about color o is that when you're in multitasking mode you can not only scroll by the apps but also scroll by the app icons which is intuitive and in screen recordings you get context awareness in the whole punch area here you can interact with your screen recording end it save it and enter into the photo gallery right at the whole punch area and I think it's a cool addition we've got a mediate Tech DS 7050 processor on here it's utilizing a 6 nanm chipset so it's decently fast I noticed quite a good and I think most importantly efficient performance with this device I played a lot of games and uh whenever you open a game there's this small notification that pops up so it's called Hydro Boost it's kind of like game mode for many devices you can mess with the settings here you can tweak whatever settings you want and you also have access to some you know quick features or quick settings per se playing a game for an extended period of time I noticed the phone got slightly warm to the touch but but game play is not affected like gamep play speed or there's no lag it's not affected by that but you just notice a slight warmth I have up to 12 gigs of RAM here and up to an additional 12 gigs of dynamic Ram or what they call virtual Ram that you know that's taken from your phone storage youve also got 128 GB or 256 GB of internal storage options it's still thankfully there you know one of the remaining phones that lets you have an external micro SD card slot and you can expand your story by up to 2 tab with an external memory card the catch though is that for the extra micro SD card or your extra storage you sacrifice a second Sim.

It's only a Sim on one end and an external storage on the other most times when it comes to slim phones they always have small batteries but uh and also shortterm battery life but despite the size of this one this has 5,000 mAh battery seated inside here when I tested it it held up for like 12 hours and 8 hours of like heavy usage I also gain for up to 30 minutes and I noticed that the battery went from like 90% to around like 80 something per so I think that's okay you know even if your battery ends up running out you have a 67 W charger to boost your charging speed in our test in terms of charging speed this phone charged at a rate of 24% for the first 10 minutes and then 20% every other 10 minutes so um overall from 0% to 1 100% it took around 1 hour and 4 minutes you know to fully charge this phone this is from our own personal tests your tests may be different and uh I think that's fair I think that's fine regarding unlocking options I found the face unlock option to be faster and sometimes more efficient than the onscreen fingerprint scanner sometimes but they work well when they work well you have to Res your fingerprint very well so that you don't you know get the trouble down the road just take the time for side well also this phone has got 5G and right now in Nigeria I believe there are three 5G providers but the ones we know MTN and Airtel I have my 5G Sim in here and there's no complaint about that obviously we all know that if you use 5G for an extended period of time it would affect your battery life the browsing.

Speed was okay the browsing performance was okay I was able to conveniently read articles and just like browse stuff quickly on here what do you guys think all these features you know diam 75050 12 gigs of RAM you know the performance the slickness of it um you know a good shower Factor what do you guys think of this phone let me know in the comments section below thank you for watching and I'll be seeing you guys in the very next one
